Treeview : how to distinguish 2 items with the same path !!!

Hi All

I'm working with treeview and it doesn't seems to be as simple as expected !!!

In my treeview, I display the content of a module with headings (nodes) and object text (items)

But my objects (items) contains links to an other module use as a catalog of items. That means I can have under the same node many objects with links to the same object of my catalog (an office can contains many identical computers for example)

In a treeview, we have only the path to identify object !! I didn't found anything else !! I saw we can't loop in a treeview...

So is there a way to distinguish objects in a treeview regadless of the path (an hidden field would have been a good idea)

So you have a Computer Catelog module with objects
  • "Comp-1"
  • "Etch-A-Sketch".
Your tree-view module has this sub-section
  • 4.2 Office Computers
    • "Secretary" links to "Comp-1"
    • "Intern" links to "Comp-1"
    • "Manager" links to "Etch-A-Sketch"

So, what do you want to do?

I don't know if DOORS Module Tree views are managed using the same DXL Tree view but it is possible to display different objects with the same object text. So I think there is something like an hidden field (with absolute number for example) to distinguish these objects !!!!
